Injury forces Tiger out of Bay Hill

A back injury has hindered Tiger Woods’ performance for weeks now and it looks like this week is no different. The world number 1 has been forced to withdraw from the Arnold Palmer Invitational Open in Orlando.

Woods announced the news on his website, “I personally called Arnold to tell him that, sadly, I won’t be able to play in his tournament this year.”

With the Masters just around the corner, Woods is hoping to recover from these prevailing back problems and put in a good performance at the Masters in April. He also mentioned on his website, “It’s too early to know about the Masters and I will continue to be evaluated and work closely with my doctors.”

Woods hasn’t won the Masters since 2005 and is looking unlikely to change this unless a speedy recovery occurs.
